spent today fixing up texture sizes bringing the file size of the game down and created obj holders for everything with the same textures to reduce the drawcall of the game.

Scene

showing off the hard work still needs tweaks but is very close i feel when we start the lighting for this game it will bring it a lot more life.




Working with floor, Walls and Roof textures

For the past week and a bit i  have been working and tweaking with tiling textures so that i could save on texture data size for the game, after quite a few tutorials on how to produce dirt and or old decay feel to my textures i think my view and knowledge in Photoshop has improved dramatically in the past week.

Vent System

Been working on a vent system for the lab rooms today and were it would be necessary to have gasses extracted from the level spent about 5hrs modeling and texturing

Modeled up a basic fan nothing to special since it will be the default fan in rooms you can look into but not actually interact with. about 30mins (in progress still)



Been working on modeling up a fuse box yesterday and just finished off with basic texture on at the moment spent about 1 hour modeling and about 20 mins of test,trial and research

worked on this a bit before the project started and will be the torch that Victor will be using throughout the game as his main tool

Texture work

been working on floor texture for the first week and a bit had to try out a few different styles and watch a few videos on how to bring a bit more realism to it and which filters to use.
